Remembering…

What do you do to honor the people in your life who have passed? I live relatively close to the cemetery where my family is buried, so I like to go a few times a year to remember them. recently I made one of those trips to honor my mother. I clip the grass around the family headstones, wash away the mud and dirt. I also leave fresh cut flowers and my grandfather’s favorite type of chocolate thumbprint cookies.

For me, it’s nice to remember my loved ones who have passed because I wouldn’t not be the woman I am today without them. They are in my heart and thoughts every day, but this is just another way that I can honor them. We used to bring my grandmother to the cemetery to visit our grandfather’s grave and go to lunch afterwards. Sometimes my family meets there to carry on this tradition and sometimes it’s just me. Either way, it reminds me of all the good times we have shared and brings me a sense of peace.

Miss you, Mom!💕

Happy Tuesday.
