Thank you!

A very BIG thank you to all my family and friends who came out to my book signing event at Barnes & Noble in Aliso Viejo on Saturday!  We didn’t leave the store until after 4pm and we made a big dent in the pile of books the store ordered. These events are huge for authors like me and I was able to introduce the series to new readers which is always exciting. Many thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at Barnes & Noble in Aliso Viejo who created a beautiful space for me in which I could connect with readers! 

Thank you to everyone who came into the store to show their support. Life is busy and I know it takes a lot of effort to come out on a Saturday; your time and energy are much appreciated. I have many more friends and family who were unable to make it and their well wishes, messages and one very gorgeous bouquet of flowers all made me feel very loved. Thank you!

Another big event this weekend was The Author Showcase hosted by author Daniel J. Barnes on Instagram Live yesterday. Twenty-eight authors from around the globe each had the opportunity to speak to Daniel about their books for five minutes. It was an incredible event to be a part of and my TBR pile has grown enormously after listening to all the authors talk about their books.

Writing is a solitary endeavor and I usually spend much of my time alone when I work. It’s moments like the book signing and the showcase this weekend that allow me to celebrate what I do and interact with readers and writers. Public events always make me nervous because I am at heart  more of a shy person. But it’s good for me to stretch my boundaries and do events like this because meeting readers and telling people about my books is a part of being an author. I’m so grateful for the support and time of all the people who made the events this weekend so successful!
