This writer is taking a week off the blog. Life has been full tilt lately. As a result my script page count hasn’t increased since last week’s blog post. So I’ll be using my blogging time this week to knock out some more pages.
But since I don’t want to leave you hanging, here are some fun facts I thought you’d enjoy:
A wombat’s poop is cube-shaped (let that sink in a mo…)
Elephants can’t jump
The platypus has no stomach – their esophagus goes straight to their intestines
Psycho was the first movie that showed toilet. It was also the first movie where you a toilet flush can be heard
It is impossible to hum while holding your nose (try it)
Fruit Loops all taste the same, despite their different colors
There are 43,560 square feet in an acre
Horses walk on their tip toes
Like fingerprints, everyone’s tongue print is different (How has that fun tidbit not appeared in any CSI episode?)
An ostrich’s eye is bigger than its brain.
A dime has 118 ridges around the edge.
Anatidaephobia is the fear of being watched by a duck
The real word for a hashtag is “octothorpe” (octorhotpe:blessed somehow doesn’t roll off the tongue…)
The dot over an I or a J is called a tittle
OMG was first used during the First World War by an admiral named John Arbuthnot Fisher in a letter to Winston Churchill. On 9/9/17, Fisher wrote “I hear that a new order of Knighthood is on the tapis – O.M.G. (Oh! My God!) – Shower it on the Admiralty!” We can only imagine that Churchill would have responded with a sarcastic ‘LOL’.
Hope these fun facts brightened your day.
Happy Tuesday!📚💕
